Hello, and welcome to my website.

My name is Mark Groote and I wanted to let you know that I’m nominating for the Mayor of Prospect in the council elections in early 2027.

For the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of representing our community on the City of Prospect Council as a Central Ward councillor.

Over this time Prospect has changed enormously. We’ve achieved a great deal, but we’re facing some important decisions about our future — including how we manage growth and development, protect our neighbourhood character, improve our streets and public spaces, and support our community and businesses.

That’s why I’ve decided to stand for Mayor.

I love this community. I know its streets, its neighbourhoods, its community and sporting groups, its businesses, and many of the people who make Prospect great.

I also believe Council works best when it listens first, makes decisions respectfully, and remembers that every dollar it spends ultimately comes from the community.

Most of all, as your elected member I am available to you at any time to chat about any concerns you have about council.  All my contact details are below, and I'm always up for a chat!
